Programs and Services at Riveredge Hospital

Riveredge Hospital offers a comprehensive continuum of inpatient and outpatient care for children, adolescents and adults with behavioral health issues. We are also proud to offer the only specialized inpatient behavioral health program for adults with an intellectual or developmental disability in the state.

The multidisciplinary teams of mental health professionals provide compassionate, holistic treatment and supervision in a structured environment. Continued ongoing care is provided post-discharge through an enhanced discharge process with bridge appointments, specialized group therapy meetings and wellness checks.

Group meetings are each designed to meet the specific needs of a particular patient type and facilitate a successful adjustment back to healthy daily activities.

The program’s goals are to provide structure, education, guidance and support so patients can return to their daily lives as quickly as possible with the tools they need to have healthy productive futures.

At Riveredge Hospital our mental health treatment is client-centered with a commitment to Trauma Informed Care.

Our Programs

Riveredge hospital offers a variety of behavioral therapies, mental health treatment and co-occurring substance abuse and mental health treatment for children, adolescents and adults that includes both inpatient and outpatient services. Some of these include:

Inpatient Programs

Riveredge Hospital offers inpatient programs for children, inpatient programs for teens or inpatient programs for adults experiencing an acute crisis requiring stabilization and an overnight stay. We accept patients with a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders and more.

Outpatient Programs for Children and Adolescents

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a therapeutic day treatment program for children and adolescents designed for those who don’t meet the criteria for inpatient care, but would benefit from a structured school environment.

Intensive Outpatient Program for Teens and Adults

The intensive outpatient program for adults and adolescents (otherwise known as an IOP for teens or an IOP for adults) serves as a bridge between an individual’s inpatient stay with us and their transition back home.

Adult IOP and adolescent IOP provides a structured environment for patients to practice and implement what they learned throughout their mental health inpatient stay.

Medication Management

A low pressure, bilingual group setting in which patients and families can manage their medication needs in an efficient manner.

Support Groups

We have a wide array of support groups all aimed at meeting the specific needs of a particular patient type, allowing individuals to connect, share and work towards healthier, more fulfilling daily lives.

Co-Occurring Disorders Program

A therapeutic approach to stabilizing an acute mental health situation if an individual also struggles with addictive disease symptoms, such as alcohol or drug substance use disorders and substance abuse.

Intellectual Disability Program

Programming specifically designed for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and offered seven days a week.

Community Residential Center (CRC)

Programming specifically designed for adolescent males ages 16 through 21 with a diagnosis of sexually problematic behaviors.
