Adult Program and Services

Mental Health & Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

Riveredge Hospital offers adult inpatient mental health programs, outpatient programs and therapies for adults, ages 18 and over.

Additionally, we offer treatment and services for individuals facing co-occurring disorders related to mental health and substance use difficulties. The  Community Residential Center (CRC) treats adolescent males, ages 16-21, with a diagnosis of sexually problematic behaviors.

Adult patients in need of less restrictive treatment may be interested in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The outpatient programs allow for the flexibility to attend work and attend to other daily responsibilities while receiving meaningful treatment.

Our Programs

Riveredge Hospital treats patients as individuals, developing a treatment plan designed around each person’s individual needs. Our continuum of care allows individuals to get the treatment they need based on the level of care they need, whether that’s inpatient psychiatric care, an adult intensive outpatient program, or more.

Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Services

Riveredge Hospital’s adult inpatient program provides treatment for mental illnesses and disorders including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.

The inpatient unit at Riveredge Hospital provides around-the-clock psychiatric care at our psychiatric hospital located in Forest Park, Illinois, a few miles west of Chicago.

Our inpatient program takes each individual patient and creates a treatment plan designed around their specific and unique needs to build on strengths, work on weaknesses and take steps towards improvement.

Our inpatient mental health treatment for adults is here to help you or a loved one struggling with a mental health disorder.

Adult Outpatient Programs

Outpatient behavioral health for adults at Riveredge Hospital puts patients and families first and includes an intensive outpatient program for adults.

Our adult intensive outpatient treatment (adult IOP) provides treatment and therapy for mental and behavioral health issues while allowing more freedom than a traditional inpatient adult mental health program.

The adult psychiatric intensive outpatient program provides individuals with an opportunity to practice what they learn throughout treatment in a structured environment without needing an overnight stay at our facility.
