Partial/Intensive Outpatient Programs
Partial Hospitalization Program
The Partial Hospitalization Program provides a structured therapeutic day treatment option for children and adolescents. The goal of PHP is to help stabilize problematic behaviors and learn positive coping skills for patients who are struggling at home or at school, but are not requiring inpatient treatment. The Children and Adolescents are programmed separately from each other.
Intensive Outpatient Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program provides a clinical after school program for adolescents who do not require or meet the criteria for inpatient hospitalization but would benefit from support their emotional and/or psychiatric needs.The goal of IOP is to provide the necessary and support to maximize their success at home, school and in the community.
Participants are introduced to two treatment modalities from which they choose. The first is the Clinical Path which is a traditional outpatient program. Partipants engage in group activities such as coping skills, skill building and activity therapy in the Clinical Path.
The second is the Drama Path. Through the process of utilizing a Playback Theatre Company model, participants will address a varity of mood and behavior related issues. In addition, the goal is to strengthen their self-esteem, empathy and positive thinking. Ninety minutes of each session will be devoted to interactive learning and drama therapy. At the end of the four week session, the group will perform for an invited audience.
